Considering who owns the company, I'd expect great sounding cymbals to come from Crescent.  Not to mention built in high profile endorsements will advertise like no other upstart likely could.  So they could gain popularity fast.  If you have a good product and good marketing, it's almost foolproof as long as their costs aren't too high.

First I've heard of them. thx for the post

This is Bosphorus Cymbals USA ... the distribution of Bosphorus Cymbals in the USA by Cymbal Masters, LLC.

Rather than trying to depend on Bosphorus to supply Cymbal Masters with cymbals, Cymbal Masters is essentially go with a different Turkish cymbal maker to supply them with cymbals. They can now have more quality control and meet the demands of their clients.

On a completely different note ...

I posted this news on another site that focuses on cymbals, and was really surprised with all of the negative comments and thoughts ... even to the point of completely slamming the company name "Crescent" as well as the logo.  :(

An interesting human condition, to be sure.  People tend to over-value what they already own.  When something new comes along they will often talk poorly about it in an effort to make what they already own seem better - especially if what they own is a big name that is universally considered to be a gold standard.  Not that the big names aren't good quality - they are some of the best.  It's just funny how easily human perception can be skewed by emotions.  And I am guilty, as charged  ;D

That's the same place where the prevailing consensus is that there hasn't been a decent cymbal since the K Zildjian Foundry closed its doors.
