Hello, I am new to this forum, so I hope I posted on the right section. xD

I've been recently researching for the perfect rock/metal/blues/reggae/overall versatile ride. What I am looking for is a heavyweight cymbal, with a very defined stick sound and ping, kinda dark pitched, a powerful bell and a controllable wash which doesn't overwhelm the drums or the stick sound.
So far, I am 50/50 for two Paiste 2002 rides: the 22" Heavy Ride and the 22" Power Ride. The thing is, I don't have any experience with any of them, nor any shop which sells Paiste cymbals nearby. Also, the sound samples recorded on the Paiste website don't do any justice for me...
I'd like to hear some opinions from any drummer which had previous/actual experience with the Power/Heavy/both.

Thank you, a lot! :D

I have several Paiste cymbals, I love my 21" Power ride. I also have a 21" Silver Mellow ride. The Power ride works well for rock and country. The Silver Mellow works great for jazz and soft country sounds. You can work across their rides and get different sounds even on the bell.  ;)
