Peter Erskine Now Endorsing Tama Drums

Tama recently announced the addition of jazz legend Peter Erskine to their artist roster. Peter's primary kit will be a beautiful STAR Bubinga kit in their new Sunny Yellow Lacquer finish.

I have to admit that I was surprised with this announcement. Peter, who is a member of this forum, had a long history with Yamaha, switched to DW Drums a few years ago, and has now moved to Tama.

My guess, besides Peter just loving the drums, is that since he has a personal Japanese connection (TAMA is in Japan) along with his product creation ideas (like that of Yamaha and DW), it makes since that Tama would snatch him up. To my knowledge, Tama hasn't really had someone like Peter on the roster, so be on the lookout for some new signature gear and creative products in the very near future.  ;D

I'm surprised, too.
