I'm excited to introduce my latest drum book, Drumset for Preschoolers.

This book was definitely a labor of love; it took many years to develop and I would like to thank all of the people (some of them from the Drummer Cafe community) who helped me on this journey.
Drumset for Preschoolers uses a color-coded system and is therefore one of the first drum books to use color on the inside. Special thanks to Try Publishing/Pro Drum Shop for having the courage to push forward with this project.
I'm hopeful that this book will encourage many youngsters to become musicians, will provide a resource to drum teachers that might expand their clientele, will extend the life of the mini drumkit, and will provide a fun learning experience between parents and their children and preschool teachers and their students.
The title of book doesn't reflect this, but I've also found that this method is a great learning tool for special needs learners of all ages and the elderly population.
I will be throwing additional related content Drummer Cafe's way, and your comments and reactions are always welcome.
Quick comment ...
This is really a very nice book; congratulations, Andy.
I'll be reviewing the book soon, but in the mean time wanted to say that I'll be recommending this book to anyone/everyone who teaches preschoolers/toddlers ... as well as to those parents who have said children who are interested in playing the drums.
More from me, via a review, coming soon!
Hey folks,
I got a nice look at it last week, and it is VERY WELL DONE. (As are all of Andy's books). I'm itching to get a youngster to work through it with!
There are some very creative and clever methods in this book. Do check it out.
My 5 year old and I have been messing around with this on his junior drumset. He got the color scheme right away.
And they said it couldn't be done...
Bravo, Andy!
Here is a new promotional flier (front and back) made by the publisher. The back of the flier is the back cover of the book. As you can see, I'm fortunate to have attained testimonials from such a great group of people! I'm also lucky that the book is attached to such a well-respected music store, The Pro Drum Shop.

A music store in San Rafael, CA called The Magic Flute is now showing off the preschool book along with a mini-drumset.
