Hey Everyone,

This is my first time posting in this forum!  I thought I would share an idea for applying double strokes around the drums.  Check out the video:

Let me know what you think.  Also, if you guys have any other cool double stroke applications, I would love to hear about them!

Hey Andrew, that was cool, thanks for posting it!  I have a rudimental background so I love taking interesting patterns and placing them across multiple surfaces.  I'll have to see if I can figure out exactly what I'm doing on one of my favorite licks and post it here.

(Nice Bos' by the way!)

Thanks for checking it out Todd!

Let me know if you post anything, I am always curious to see what people come up with.  Thanks for noticing the cymbals too, I really love them!

I have been playing with this 16th note double-stroke groove using a tambourine to the left of my hi-hat. It's fun to randomly throw this in a 4/4 beat. ;)

count         1 2 3 4  1 2 3 4
(hand)        RRLLRRLL RRLLRRLL
Close HH : ---XXXX---- XXXX----
Left Tamb: ---------XX ------XX
Snare    : -------XX-- ----XX--

Hey that's cool Brian.  I haven't taken the time to try to write out the lick that came to mind when reading Andrew's post, but upon (a very brief) reflection, it's mostly paradiddles.
