Dream Cymbals recently announced a number of new cymbal offerings for their 2015 catalog during this year's NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA.
The new 16” Contact Hi-Hats feature everything that is amazing about Dream's Contact line. They speak directly off the stick. Their explosive attack delivers warmth and volume with the larger diameter. Whether you are laying down a swampy funk groove or rocking with your metal band, Driving a Big Band through Bebop or Backing up a Singer Songwriter these dynamic and versatile Hi-Hats will work for you!
The 16” Contact Hi-Hats feature Dream's signature hand lathing with a medium taper and larger bell. The long decay in these Hats makes them crashable too. A warm wash when you need it, a tight chick when you want it.
The Dream Energy Hi Hats are now available in 16”. These beautiful Energy Hi-Hats can definitely roar, but are easy to control. Warmth is the name of the game with these cymbals and they deliver. With an expertly micro-lathed top Hat and bottom, the 16” set steps away from the un-lathed bottom of the other Energy Hi hats. You can expect exceptionally clear stick definition, a loud wash and a crisp click when played with a foot. The 16” Energy Hi-Hats demonstrate a complex palate of sound for any musical situation. Available at Dream dealers for $289 a pair.
Dream Cymbals presents their Timsha Finger Cymbals. Available in four sizes (small, medium, large and extra large), their expertly crafted finger cymbals were cast in the mountains of India and tuned to create that perfect shimmer every time they’re played. Heavier than most finger cymbals, the Timsha Finger Cymbals cut through an ensemble each time they are struck. Their impressive sound adds a new layer of colour to every chord. Street price starts at $32.
Dream Cymbals is announcing a new cymbal pack for customers looking for a big sound with greater flexibility. Taking the professional quality cymbals in their Ignition pack, the new 3+ pack features the 14” Ignition Hats, 18” Ignition Crash, and pairing it with a brilliant 22” Contact Crash Ride. The 14” Hats are easy to control and quick to speak. The new 18” Ignition Crash can roar and ride. The addition of the 22” Crash Ride offers another fantastic option, providing a full bodied responsive master sound to fill out the set. Street Map price: $440.
The Ignition series turned a lot of heads last year with its professional quality cymbals and affordable price point. This year, Dream is adding (to the already great package) an 18” Ignition Crash. Made with the same cast B20 alloy as the rest of the Ignition series, the 18” Crash gives the beginner more sound options and offers a two crash set up. Get started the right way and forget about purchasing add-ons later. The Ignition 4-piece pack features 14” Hi Hats, a 16” Crash, an 18” Crash and a 20” Crash/Ride plus a padded cymbal bag. The Ignition series is hand hammered and features a hybrid lathe similar to the Contact line with Bliss micro lathe strip at the edge providing a bit of control and extra warmth. They have a medium wash while having the stick definition of a cymbal from the Dream Contact line. This combination of high quality cymbals will allow beginners to fully explore their sound and will last a lifetime. Street /MAP price: $495.
