Prentice Practice PadsAn American made product, Prentice Practice Pads are revolutionary in their design because they can be adjusted to three different playing angles to suit the performer's playing style. The pads feel and respond with the same action one would typically experience with a real drumhead, while allowing the player to clearly hear the notes and practice for hours without bothering neighbors or family members.

While maintaining the traditional "sound chamber" effect of the old style drum pads, the Prentice Practice Pad offers three different playing angles:

  1. For traditional-grip with the sharp angle emulating a sling carried drum like those used by military drummers of old.
  2. The familiar flat position used by drumset players, percussionists and modern marching band/drum & bugle corps drummers who prefer or are accustomed to horizontal playing surface.
  3. A subtle angle for Matched or Traditional grip drummers who prefer their snare drum positioned at a slight tilt.

Constructed of Medium Density Fiberboard (M.D.F.), a tough material used for, among other things, high-end audio speaker cabinets, Prentice Practice Pads come in a variety of colors, have a great tonal quality, and are nearly indestructible.

In this 5-minute video, recorded during the 2011 Summer NAMM Show, Nashville drummer and Prentice Practice Pads endorser, Vincent Dee, shares his personal thoughts and experiences with the Prentice Practice Pads.

About Prentice Practice Pads

Inheriting a love for drums from her father, Georgia Prentice began playing drums as a small child and since that time has kept the instrument close to her heart. She would practice for hours on her drum pad, and realized that a successful drummer needed a great pad to elevate his or her skill level. Wanting to create a pad design that would be beneficial to drummers of all skill levels and styles, Georgia met ex-Faces and Elton John drum tech, Colin Hilborne, who helped her develop the pad after several years of hard work and revision.
