The CollectiveThe Collective online live lesson program offers students from all over the world an opportunity to study with our world-class faculty through modern online video conferencing technology. These online lessons are set up to give students an optimal view of their teacher and his/her instrument with multiple camera angles ranging from overhead, eye-level, and feet (which applies to drum lessons only).

Students are able to instantly download music charts or written-out examples supplied by the instructor and have it in PDF form on their own computer. Lessons can be ongoing and students have the ability to study with multiple instructors of their choice (based on availability). These online lessons have been successfully tested and taught to students in Italy, Portugal, India, Africa, Germany, Argentina, Canada, Austria, Japan, and in many locations across the United States.

Online lessons can be transmitted on Mac or PC computer. All that is required is a high quality Internet connection and a web-cam. Teachers will be located at The Collective facility in New York City. Single private lessons being taught through The Collective's online platform are 50 minutes in length and $100 per lesson. If you purchase 4 or more lessons they are $95 each.

In addition, The Collective is offering private online instruction based on the course work for the Prep beginner program. Students completing the online work will be able to submit an audition tape and have the prep semesters waived. The focus of the online course work is Instrumental Technique, Reading Skills, and work in the performance areas of Jazz, Rock, Blues/Funk, Afro-Cuban, and Brazilian rhythms.

Each track consists of a series of 8 online private sessions, culminating with one online exam.

Course tracks being offered are The Basics of Instrumental Technique, Developing Sight-Reading Skills, Jazz Performance, Rock Performance, Blues/Funk Performance, Brazilian Styles Performance, and Traditional Afro-Cuban Performance. Tuition for each 8-lesson online course is $675; course material is included in the online program. Tuition for the entire Prep series is $4,500.
