An electronic module designed to light your drums as you play!

TheLumenEffect people like to do crazy projects in their spare time, most of them related to LED lighting. Their most recent project, DrumLight, grew out of a need for lighting drums during an evening street percussion show.

After searching (and failing) to find a commercial solution to light up their friend's drums, TheLumenEffect developed their own, the DrumLight. After thoroughly testing their new innovation, exposing it to the harshest conditions in the hands of some very good drummers, TheLumenEffect is now ready to release DrumLight as a commercial product — but they need your help.

In order to offer a commercial version of the DrumLight at a reasonable price, the boys at TheLumenEffect need to make large batches of circuit boards. Doing so will not only dramatically reduce the tooling and production costs, but will allow for bulk purchases of the components necessary for creating the DrumLight.

Through their efforts on Kickstarter.com, TheLumenEffect is seeking to raise $8,000 by January 27, 2013.
