Tom Roady

Monday, Feb. 6, at Douglas Corner, the Loud Jazz Jam, will be an evening dedicated to Tom, who was an ardent supporter and participant.

"Regardless of the title, the Loud Jazz Player's Jam is not necessarily only about Jazz. The title is just a nod to the great John Scofield Record of the same name, and the house band's love of classic jazz, and rock fusion forms. This bi-weekly event is more about the spirit of improvisation, and exploration in pretty much any style of music from pop to bluegrass to afro-cuban, brazilian, african, indian, and other world styles as well as the many derivations of the blues. In addition, our events are foremost about championing sincere musical camaraderie, and fellowship through events that are supportive/nonjudgmental gatherings of musicians, and music lovers of every stripe."

As you might imagine, this will be an opportunity to hear some of the best musicians available anywhere, jamming in honor of their departed brother.
