Will Taylor - Modern Hands

British drummer Will Taylor, in association with TheBlackPage.net, is pleased to announce the release of Modern Hands, a free interactive drum book. The book is a collection of articles written for TheBlackPage on hand technique over the past year and a half. Now these exercises have all been brought together as one collection. Modern Hands features 17 exercises, each with manuscript and hyperlinks to their youtube videos. This interactive book works on Laptops, tablets and phones with internet connection.

It’s best not to view this as method book, more a collection of individual exercises that will help anyone improve there technique and gain a better grasp of traditional and modern rudiments. The exercises contained within the book range from simple to highly advanced. Some are original compositions and others are classics taught around the world. All will slide easily into a drummers practice regime.

This led to seven years of marching snare drum with the Falcons (finally writing for and leading the drumline) and time at the Cadence drum and bugle corps. He began playing drum kit during this time and took to studying hard with some great teachers (Richard Spooner, Tom Meadows, Neil Martin) and playing for many different artists as well as playing on releases and tours with Gary Go, Incoherence , The New 1920 to name but a few. Will maintains a busy teaching schedule whilst playing, touring and recording with different artists and bands. Currently playing for Spycatcher , Dirty Leaves and Moones .
