I caught up with drummer, author, and educator, Daniel Glass, at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee when Daniel was in town for a gig with the Brian Setzer Orchestra.
In this 40-minute exclusive Drummer Cafe video interview (available in HD), Daniel Glass talks about how he became interested in the drums, his music background, working with Royal Crown Revue, his book The Commandments of Early Rhythm & Blues Drumming, recent DVD releases The Century Project and TRAPS, and his current touring gig with Brian Setzer. Daniel also takes us on-stage to see his drum set-up (actually two separate drum set-ups) with a close-up look at the gear he is using for this year's Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas Extravaganza.
Daniel sounded great with the Brian Setzer Orchestra, who performed for a sold-out crowd in Nashville! The Ninth Annual Christmas Extravaganza for the Brian Setzer Orchestra, with opening act, Totsy, is a must-see concert for the holiday season.
