Paul Jennings Music

Paul Jennings stopped by the Drummer Cafe studio after the Summer NAMM Show in Nashville, TN.

In this exclusive video interview, Paul talks about growing up on the Shetland Islands (a subarctic archipelago of Scotland, lying just north-east of the Britain mainland), how he got into drumming as well as the music scene in Shetland.

Besides the drumset, Paul plays a vast array of percussion and hand drums including djembe, congas and cajon. It is his love for the cajon that sparked his interest in teaching online via playcajon.org, and starting his own online store for hand drums at pauljenningsmusic.com.

Paul's unique style of drumming has earned him spots with many top bands across the world, performing to sell out audiences with such as artists as Jethro Tull, Capercaille, and Treacherous Orchestra. As a percussionist, Paul performed with James Devine, the Guinness World Records "Fastest Tap Dancer" record holder, on Broadway (New York City, NY) for a one month run of Devine's show, Tapeire.
