Over a year in the making, this DVD is a fitting tribute to a century of "The Most Famous Name On Drums." It is also fitting that it is being released at the Chicago Drum Show. Ludwig was, of course, founded and operated in Chicago. Rob Cook, producer of the Chicago Drum Show, has been closely associated with Ludwig for over 30 years. He wrote The Ludwig Book and edited & published Wm. F. Ludwig II's autobiography, The Making Of A Drum Company. Cook's first vintage drum project under the Rebeats banner was the video An Introduction To Vintage Drums in 1991. For that project, Wm. F. Ludwig II opened his home to Cook's camera crew. Footage from that visit is included in the DVD. Many of the drum personalities who appear in the DVD to share their memories and insights of the Ludwig company are Chicago Drum Show fixtures; Todd Trent, Bun E Carlos, Mike Curotto, Wm. F. Ludwig III, Dick Schory, Ronn Dunnett, and Bermuda Schwartz are included. No Ludwig story would be complete without Ringo - the former Beatle appears to explain how he came to buy his first Ludwig kit.
