Visible School, a music and worship arts college located in the heart of midtown Memphis, announced its plans for the Sixth Annual Drumathon to be held Oct. 22 beginning at 10 a.m. at the college’s temporary location at 1015 S. Cooper St.
During the event, Visible School percussion majors will perform on their drum kits for 24 hours straight to raise money for their upcoming trip to the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC). Students will play for the entire 24-hour event in an effort to raise the $7,500 needed to send each of the percussion majors to Indianapolis, Indiana, for the conference, scheduled for November 10 - 13, 2010, where they will participate in workshops, concerts and classes on percussion.
