Jamey Haddad, born Jamey George Haddad on July 2, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio, is an American percussionist working primarily in the fields of jazz and world music while specializing in hand percussion instruments.
With his Lebanese ancestry, Haddad began playing Lebanese hand percussion instruments (ie. tablah, daff) at the age of four. After high school he went on to study music at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Haddad lived in New York City for more than 20 years but relocated to Shaker Heights, Ohio in 2002 and teaches at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
