Bobby Elliott

Bobby Elliott, born Robert Hartley Elliott on December 8, 1941, in Burnley, Lancashire, England, is an English rock drummer, best known for playing drums with The Hollies (1963 - present).

Elliott was an original member of Johnny Theakstone and The Tremolos; later known as Shane Fenton & The Fentones. He also worked with Ricky Shaw and the Dolphins before taking over The Hollies drum chair in April 1963 when drummer Don Rathbone left the band.

The Hollies have had over 25 top 40 hits since 1963. In 1972, the single "Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress" reached #2 in the US; their 1969 single release, "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother", reached #1 on the UK charts in 1988.
