Chester Thompson

Chester Thompson, born Chester Cortez Thompson on December 11, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland, is an American drummer and session musician, best known for his drumming for Frank Zappa, Phil Collins and Genesis. He's also worked with Ron Kenoly, Weather Report, Steve Hackett, Era, Santana and many others.

Chester Thompson is currently an Adjunct Instructor at Belmont University's School of Music in Nashville, TN, and performs regularly with his jazz trio.
