This drum transcription of "Rope," as performed by drummer, Taylor Hawkins, is the first single from the Foo Fighters seventh studio album, Wasting Light (2011).

The song has unusual rhythms and chords which give it a distinctive sound, influenced by Rush as well as the Led Zeppelin album, Presence, which Dave Grohl has stated "may be my favorite album of theirs".

The delay on the intro was induced manually given the album was produced without digital instruments, with producer Butch Vig synchronizing it with the click track through a drum machine and a tambourine.
