Title: How much do those stirophone(sp) egg crates cost?
Post by: BlackEvovii on August 13, 2002, 06:46 PM
How much does this stuff cost?  Since I am looking to deading the sound in my drum room some, so when father gets the TV there will be no precedence over my playing. ;)

if anyone knows anything better to use, let me know.  Im not looking to sound proof the room.

I did a studio with these years ago and they work great when spliting 50/50 (checkerboard) with another cheap foam type of tile. I also did one with carpeted walls (berber) and 50% coverage and it sounded good too. (checkered with blank squares) All in all, if you have a nearby fruit, farmers market or (best yet) egg company, you can pick up stacks of them for about $5-10. I bought enough to do a 20x13 room/12' ceiling and 50% coverage for about $25 at an egg company. Pretty cheap. Good luck!
