Title: Taye Drums??????
Post by: SLARKIN on December 21, 2002, 05:27 PM
Hi,
I haven't played drums in at least 10 yrs, but I'm planning on starting again.  Of course the issue is cash.  I don't have much to spend.  Probably around 6 or 700.00.  I keep hearing about the Taye Rock Pro.  I've seen the Taye line up close, and they look to have equal or better quality than anything else in my price range.  I can pick up a 4 pc. Rock Pro for around 500.00 this includes hardware, 1 boom, 1 HH stand, and a stand alone cymbal stand.  Any other deals out there for my money situation?

pretty much every maker out there has a kit in that range, and fortunately for us, they are (for the most part) great drums for the buck.

one of the lovely things about taye is that the hardware on the drums is the same across thier lines.  the lugs and hoops on thier lower end rockpro are the same nice lugs and hoops as on thier top end studio maple.

id say shop around, hit stuff, see which seems closest to the sound in your head, and be prepared to replace all the heads  ;D
