I dont clean my cymbals but once in a great while, I also dont know necessarily how abrasive Twinkle is but I do know when I used it in the distance past I never had to scrub and I always did it in the bathtub it as well rinsed off with water, I used hot water so the cymbal would dry fast. I think cleaning them keeps the brightness to the sound and if you like them dirty it tends to soften the ring. I like them clean but again I only clean them about once every two years most of the time just keep them dusted dont spill stuff on them and only touch when you have to, the acid and oil on your hands will eat them as fast as anything
