Drummer Cafe VIP T-shirts (black)
« on: May 04, 2005, 08:54 AM »
I'm looking into getting more black Drummer Cafe T-shirts for  http://community.drummercafe.com/index.php?action=loadpage&content=membership.php]VIP Memberships .

If you are interested in a black T-shirt (new or old VIP members), please participate in this poll to give me an idea of what sizes I would need.

Since this is no small expense, I want to order T-shirts that VIP members or potential VIP members would want ... for a quick turnaround.

This is great.  Just yesterday I was just thinking how I wanted another black shirt.  I want a large shirt with LARGE logo.

I bet someone's going to mention the large logo right after my post.  ;D

Absolutely.

Perhaps those of you who want one of these black T-shirts, let me know if enlarging the logo is cool or not. I can only have them one way or the other at this point.

I like the logo size the way it is pictured.  Not too big, not too small.

I'd prefer the logo a tad larger, but it looks good as is!

I would become a VIP member just to get a shirt that was right for Lael.  You would have to expand the choices to include women's T-shirts, in Lael's case, women's small or medium (depending on the style, some are too short.)

One thing I find very pleasing about the Drummer Cafe is that when writing about a hypothetical drummer, most posters use "he or she".  I realize that there aren't near as many female drummers as male, which puts the ladies into a loss likely group.  I know I could get Lael a "Drummer Girl" T-shirt, but the site is ... um, ...it isn't .. ah... doesn't speak to ... well, it isn't the Drummer Cafe.  Please consider  offering a shirt that would fit girls!

Please consider  offering a shirt that would fit girls!

We do have white T-shirts that are especially made for girls/women.
Check out our  http://www.cafeshops.com/drummercafe/]Gift Shop  for choices and sizes. The black T-shirts, however, will just be standard sizes ... not specific cuts. If you really want a black T-shirt ... send me an IM with the size you'd need for a girl's T-shirt ... and I'll see what I can do when I place my order.

I like the "T" as shown, I'd also like to see black or other colors in the polo (golf) style.

I love my black shirt, I wear it everywhere.  I would like to see a bigger logo as well, but on the back.

Bart,

I have looked at the women's white shirt, and really do prefer black.  Can't IM you with the size, so I'll respond here: If the black women's shirt would be the same style as the white one, Lael's size would be small.  If it is cut short and curvy, "baby doll" style, it would be medium.  It's easy for men to say their size -- women's clothes sizes are kind of arbitrary!

Thanks for the quick resopnse.

I would also vote for additional colors in the polo shirt since I wear those to work almost every day.

X-L 4 me. Unlike others into gold jewelry, I'm into sterling silver, so I would like to see the front logo moved slightly down or to the side so the pendants I wear would not cover it. Yes, I dress in black most of the time and am one of those never-say-die Raiders fans (shame on me).  ::)

Sorry to be so late in responding... I "can" wear XL, but usually like a looser fit, so voted XXL.  :)

I love my VIP shirt , but would also like the Logo Larger!  A T-Shirt with a Pocket would be nice too.

« Reply #21 on: September 30, 2005, 02:57 PM »
If you'd like to vote on the T-shirt size you'd like to have, please do so immediately as I am having a new batch made up soon!

If you do not plan to purchase a T-shirt and/or become a VIP Member, there's no need to vote.  ;)

And ... the logo will be a little larger this time.

Oh ... and if I can, I have a handful made with the logo on the back. I personally don't like the thought of having them on my back for various reasons.

Another idea (for a shirt) is to have the words DRUMMER CAFE in the pocket corner, than on the back have a coffee w/ a pair of drumsticks. Just an idea

But that looks cool too. could could a tad bigger, but not really LARGE

I've got the T-shirts on order ... will be here in time for PASIC 2005.
Using an 8-inch logo on the front; the older version was a 4-inch logo.

Here's a quick question .... do you prefer a light weight shirt, or a heavier weight shirt. The original black Cafe t-shirts were heavier than the samples T-shirts I've got now ... which is made by Gildan. These are "heavy" but but definitely breathe a lot more.

Which do you prefer?!

I like the heavier weight original black shirt. It wears much longer than some of the lightweight ones I've gotten from Zildjian and Evans. I wear it under my dress shirt at school in winter months and helps keep me toasty.

Plus, at any moment, I can disappear into a nearby phone booth, take off my outer shirt and reveal ...

DRUMMERCAFE!!!

That's why I like the heavier ones. But, when I'm on stage, the heavier T-shirts can make you very hot ... because they don't breathe well.

Well, the manufacture is already pressing the T-shirts, so they are going to be a little lighter weight than the Drummer Cafe T-shirts from the past. After PASIC, I'll probably have more made that are heavier like the originals.

I've also got some cool T-shirts being made besides the standard black. We'll see how those turn out.

Okay ... the new black Drummer Cafe T-shirts are in.

The Drummer Cafe logo is 8-inches long, twice the size as it used to be (4-inches).

The previous T-shirts we 6 oz, 100% Pre-shrunk Cotton. If you prefer that extra .5 ounces, you'll need to wait until I make another order ... maybe before Christmas.

Also, I've got a few Pigment dyed and Ringer T-shirts in various colors; sizes vary but range from Small to Extra Large.

Pigment Dyed T-shirts
We have these colors: Ink, Pebble, Periwinkle, Papaya

Ringer T-shirts
We have all colors except the Moss/Red.
Not shown is Sky Blue with Gold trim and Black with Gold trim.

Those desiring to become Drummer Cafe VIP Members ... go  http://www.drummercafe.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=6]here  and get a free T-shirt!
