woke today. walked into my basement

found my 16" Zildjian A sitting on the floor smaashed inside out. ( kinda like a china )

so i tried to bend it back. couldnt do it by hand.

so i jumped on it. and pop. back to origianal form. no cracks, sounds great  :D

I've popped a cymbal inside out (and back) before.  They're pretty tuff cookies.  (Hey, their lives are only there for us to hit 'em sticks, right?)

Hhaha I was at a drum shop and i saw an agop and it said paper thin..Im like man that thing don't look paper thin and i bent it a bit and POP...the look on my face was classic.

What look did the shop owner have?

Odd, I don't see a 16" A listed in your set up....was it one you don't use? And yeah, how did it happen?

I had a lower hi hat cymbal sometimes do that while I was playing, an old thin 50's era Zildjian. It would pop inverted just from me stomping too hard on the hats. I'd have to pull it and wack it on my knee to make it pop back out.

That hi hat set is scrapped now, I cut it up as an experiment, cut the center out with tin snips (the bronze cuts very easy) and made splash hats, which I still sometimes use.

Yea.... I can't think of any time I went to bed and got up the next morning and my Drums were in disawray. But I don't party to hard either.   So what happen during the night? :o

well i do use it. that was my old set up..

But i had my whole set broke down for cleaning and re arranging.

we had a repair guy fixing are heater in the basement, but i had all my cymbals on a table. so im thinking he sat on the table.
