I don't know if they were discontinued, but a drum store here in Sweden sold them for 500$.

It seems I got that from the Gretsch website.....which is definitely not updated regularly....and of course it can't reflect the special bulk orders from Sigler etc, who get their own colors that don't even appear on the Gretsch site

Hi folks,

Being a greedy drum geek I've got three kits, eeek, though I can at least say they all get regular outings! :-)

The first is a Rogers, dated from sometime early 70's, Butchers Block finish.  Sizes are 12", 16", 22" with original 14" dynasonic.  I'd love any info if anyone knows much about these kits! Sounds FANTASTIC, quite a soft rounded 70's vibe to my ears.

The second is a Yamaha Birch Custom, great 24" kick, 12" and 16".

Finally, a Tama Rockstar Custom that I keep setup at home for practice during busy periods.

The cymbals in regular rotation are a mix of Giant Beats, 2002s and Zildjian Ks.

(Sorry the pictures are so crude, I should really take some better quality ones sometime)

Enjoy!  :)

I love me some butcher block kits.  Not sure why, but I dig 'em.

NY Frank

I love that butcher block look, too.    Ex-suh-lent.

Hey Chuck, Great Shot. Clear with a good angle, and it stands still. Really, it looks great. I couldn't get a pic up on a post even if I painted it myself. Nice looking kit.
