You can cut plexiglass with a scroll saw.  If you don't have access to one, take the plexiglass and mark it with a sharpie then take it to your local cabinet maker.  He/She should be willing to cut it for you for a couple of bucks.  You can also buy a cheap scroll saw/jig saw at your local home improvement store for a few bucks.  A Jig saw will come in handy when you start to customize your new kit.   ;D
