practice pads

hiya there. i practice pretty regular on practice pads,,,,the solid rubber things on stands....the only problem is all seems to be in time until i get on my real kit and there just seems to be a lot more bounce and everything seems to go out the window. is there anyway of prakkyin without the noise, but feels real...if you know what i mean.

You could try a mesh drumhead; they give a lot of bounce. I would just experiment with some different types of practice pads until you find one that meets your needs.

Finding something that is quiet but has a lot of bounce my be tough to find. The firmer the pad, the more sound you will hear.

I'm not really sure what's going on for you that you are having an issue going from a pad to the drum.
