I also love to listen to DMB but only when I can force myself to just listen and not analyse it. When I do that I want cut the useless slabs of meat off the end of my arms!

Right on!  I'm all over that stuff too (really like the new Radiohead) and DMB is one of my favs.  I haven't listened to either the Roots or Art Blakey - where should I start?

I dig his work.. when in the right mood, I'll listen to an entire album. My fav video is "Happiness in Slavery".

Pretty Hate Machine: "Down In It" Rocks!

Sean Welch

For some reason, I'm all about Keith Moon lately... so The Who has been dominating the CD player.

Joe

In the past few days, I've been listening to:

A DECtalk version of "Edelweiss";
Lisa Loeb -- "Stay (I Missed You)" (actually, I've been obsessed with her for the past couple days);
Donald Fagen -- "Snowbound";
Elton John -- "I'm Still Standing";
Charlie Barnet -- "Skyliner";
Randy Newman -- "Short People" (for some reason, I love that missed rimshot in the beginning);
Jimi Hendrix -- "Fire";
Celine Dion -- "Have You Ever Been In Love";
Sarah McLachlan -- "Adia", and
The Benny Hill version of "Yakety Sax".

RIP Benny. :'(

Last week was Tracy Chapman's week!

I listened to all of her CDs, especially Matters Of The Heart, with the one and only Manu Katché on drums. Great drumming, all smooth... I really like the way he uses his splashes.

And what a great groove on Give Me One Reason (Rock Deadrick is playing on that one), from the CD New Beginning!!!

Overall, Tracy's music is pure joy to listen to :D

the metro, by system of a down.

just one song.

Billy Cobham "Total Eclipse"

    WOW! 8)

Tony

The past day or two has been "24 Nights" by Clapton.  Steve Ferrone on drums, just a huge sound.

Dave Lemonds

Typically whatever I need to learn for the next gig or session. When I'm in the car, talk radio. I'm such a slacker sometimes! Then I have my wish list of stuff that I'm going to listen to and practice for learning purposes, but I rarely have time for that anymore. I miss doing that!!
