Butch Ballard

Butch Ballard, born George Edward Ballard on December 26, 1918 in Camden, New Jersey (grew up in Frankford, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), was an American jazz drummer who, during his long career, played with legendary musicians such as Louis Armstrong, Count Basie and Duke Ellington.

Butch died on October 1, 2011.
