Eliot Zigmund

Eliot Zigmund, born April 14, 1945 in New York City, New York, is an American jazz drummer, who has worked with the likes of Ron McClure, Steve Swallow, Art Lande, Mike Nock, Mel Martin, Vince Guaraldi, Bill Evans, Eddie Gómez, Bennie Wallace, Richard Beirach, Jim Hall, Chet Baker, Stan Getz, Fred Hersch, Red Mitchell, Don Friedman, Michel Petrucciani, Gary Peacock, Carl Barry, Keith Greko, Eiji Nakayama, and Stefan Karlson.

As a session musician, Zigmund has played drums for Neil Sedaka, Dionne Warwick, The Pointer Sisters, and many others.

Eliot Zigmund's formal studies include Mannes College of Music and CCNY, where he graduated in 1969.

As an educator, Zigmund has taught at William Paterson College and New York University.
