Meinl Cymbals proudly announces a new 16" Medium Thin HiHat to its Byzance Extra Dry Series of cymbals which are hand hammered from B20 bronze in Meinl's own Turkish cymbal factory. Living up to their name, Extra Dry series cymbals are extremely dry, with low-pitched, trashy and short sounds due to their unlathed surface and extensive hand hammering.

"We've received a lot of feedback from our customers and artists requesting that we add this particular model to our assortment," says Meinl Cymbal Product Manager, Stefan Mueller. "Big-sized hihats have become very popular over the last few years. They offer a full bodied sound with a lot of low-end and volume, yet stay controllable and focused."

The new Meinl 16" Byzance Extra Dry Medium Thin HiHats are recommended for Rock, Funk, R&B, Jazz and similar styles. They are also great for studio work.
