Microphome LLC was in attendance at the Summer NAMM show in Nashville, demonstrating the easiest and most effective way to clean and disinfect the world’s microphones. Company founder and president Tommy McCoy was on duty in the Players Music Accessories booth (#831), demonstrating the benefits Microphome™ professional mic cleaning foam.

Microphome is a safe, easy-to-use disinfectant/deodorizer designed specifically to clean microphones. Its unique, fast-drying foam formula helps eliminate germs, cosmetics and odors, leaving the mic sweet-smelling and 99.99% germ-free. Available in individual bottles and as a complete mic cleaning kit, Microphome is perfect for every performer, venue and sound company that cares about the cleanliness and hygienic condition of their mics. Recording studios, rehearsal halls, karaoke clubs, churches, and broadcasters have already expressed appreciation for this new product.

Microphone was developed by singer/songwriter and blues guitarist and habitual inventor Tommy McCoy. “In my musical career, I’ve had to use a lot of grungy mics, whether at clubs, festivals or jams” he notes. “Besides being nasty and bad-smelling, unsanitized mics can be a real health hazard, and there was no easy way to deal with it. They say necessity is the mother of invention, and that’s what inspired me to develop Microphome.”

The secret to Microphome’s effectiveness lies in its alcohol-free formula and foam aeration system. A single pump provides a dose of foam that the user spreads onto the outside of the mic grille, safely away from the internal electronics. After about two minutes, the residue-free foam simply evaporates, leaving the mic deodorized, 99.99% germ-free and safe to sing through.

Microphome is available in 50 ml bottles – enough for over 100 applications. To renew older mics, the Microphome Mic Cleaning Kit is offered. The kit consists of a vinyl zipper pouch containing a bottle of Microphome, a double-ended cleaning brush, soft nylon scouring pad and microfiber cleaning cloth, all designed to help remove debris and odors from smoke resins, stale beer, lipstick, bad breath and other unhealthy residue that accumulates over time.

“All performers should be concerned about health issues,” says McCoy. “Microphome is the first and only product that addresses this concern. Now anyone can quickly and safely disinfect the mic before each use. As we like to say: Foam it before you own it!”

Microphome has list price of $8.98 per bottle and $25.98 for the Mic Cleaning Kit, both in cases of twelve. Dealer inquiries welcome at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. For full information, visit www.microphome.org.
