Drummers from across North America and as far away as Turkey gathered in Webster, New York this past August 7th and 8th for the third annual Drum Road Trip. Held in Webster’s historic Harmony House music hall, Drum Road Trip has become the premier drum event in the Northeast.

focused on groove and feel when drumming with a band.

Saturday’s show was highlighted by two exceptional clinics. Studio legend Bernard Purdie focused on groove and feel in support of a band. Rising drum star Derek Roddy demonstrated how speed and technique must be combined with musicality and taste to serve the music. The intimate setting of Harmony House allowed for direct and immediate interaction between artists and attendees, maximizing the inspirational and educational value of each artist’s presentation.
